The Cabinet of Curiosities
The aim of this project was to bridge the yawning gap between the academic geological paper and the family day out on the beach and open up new ways of responding to the amazing history and landscape of The Jurassic Coast.

'Forkbeard – Architects of Fantasy' ran for two years at the Theatre Museum in London’s Covent Garden and attracted record numbers of visitors to the museum. Versions of this exhibition are permanently available and can be reduced in size for smaller exhibition spaces.
The Cabinet of Curiosities
THE CABINET has numerous worlds to explore through science fact, fiction and humour. Peer through the magnifiers at rocks and tiny fossils; turn the pages of The Headland and feel the layers of Time; follow the Time Line of Earth squashed into a year; become a Jurassic Monster; pull apart the Tectonic Plates; watch the Detritus fall to the bottom of the sea; look into the painted world of Henry de la Beche; join some of Palaeontology’s best Forgotten Friends; and lie on the carpet below and take a lugworm’s eye-view of the Primeval Swamp.
