The Cabinet of Curiosities
Premiered at
Lyme Regis Museum last year and now touring Dorset museums ‘The Cabinet of Curiosities’ is a specially commissioned interactive exhibit about The Jurassic Coast. Forkbeard have been working closely with geologists and palaeontologists connected with The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site to produce this delightful multi-faceted box of science fact, fiction and humour.
This course covers : an overview of a typical User Interface, the principles of nodal-based systems and layers including: colour correcting, keying, rotoscoping, plate-cleaning, tracking, stabilising, painting and warping, digital formats and proxies.
Principles of Advanced Compositing (Using Shake)
This course is available throughout the year on a request basis and is scheduled on demand. Please

Digital Editing using Final Cut Pro
The course will cover capturing footage, basic editing, adding transitions and effects, compositing, adding text and graphics, speed manipulation and audio editing, and will particularly emphasise the artistically valid editorial decisions of post production by using material generated by the students themselves. All courses are run using Apple Macintosh computers and are designed to meet the needs of beginners and more advanced users alike.
