TEDDY This was created by Penny Saunders Lyric Hammersmith/Forkbeard co-production of 'THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL' by Hans Christian Andersen (adapted by Neill Bartlett), the Lyric's 1994 panto. The bear appeared in a dream to the unhappy matchgirl sitting motionless on it's box. Suddenly it lumbers intolife and dances with her until the dream fades. The bear's head is held on via a motorbike crash helmet worn by the performer. RABBIT This 8 ft. high Rabbit hails from the Laboratories of Anthropomorphism from which he was released and thence hired as window cleaner at Salvador's Barber Shop in 'The BARBERS of SURREAL'(1998). His unnatural size is attributable to early experiments with growyh hormones. |

ANGEL One of several found curled up in a nest of feathers inside the cranium of the skull of the Brontosaurus (see below). Some commentators have suggested that these tiny creatures literally drove these mightiest of the dinosaurs to extinction. By Penny Saunders. |

BRONTOSAURUS The skeleton of a teenage brontosaurus was the stage-set for Forkbeard's 1983 'THE BRONTOSAURUS SHOW', made by Penny Saunders and Chris Britton, by telephone, 200 miles apart. It was actually pieced together during the performance by the two palaeontologist protagonists. No less than 13 brontosauri had been unearthed by the Peterson Expedition's Fossil Works in Siberia and in each one's skull, curled up as if in eternal sleep, was nestled the tiny skeleton of an angel. |
