FF have always run workshops and residencies as an integral part of the yearly programme. They are inextricably connected to and inspire and inform our artistic output. |

The focus for participants is always on their own creativity and imagination and the creative process, not the 'masterclass' approach. Residencies have lasted anything up to 3 weeks ; a workshop can be a mere 2 hours. |

|
There
are two loose categories that this area of work covers |

These might be sculptural
exhibits which can be animated via a myriad of different methods; puppets
which are worn as costumes or manipulated by an external operative; or
walk-through environments. |

This might be devising
a short film sequence which is to be interacted with; building
model sets and gadgetry; rolling
scenery devices; 2D and 3D makeup; live
performance animation (pixillation); claymation;
2D drawing and painting, and many more
techniques and examples. |
