FORKBEARD SUMMER SCHOOLS 2010

Summer School 1 - Friday 2nd - Friday 9th July

Summer School 2 - Friday 16th - Friday 23rd July

These six-day residential Summer Schools give sudents the chance to discover new ways of working in an inclusive, stimulating and challenging environment. The Schools are located at Forkbeard's Waterslade Studios in the heart of rural Devon. Set in 2 acres of fields, Waterslade comprises a modern studio complex equipped for set and prop construction, film and video edit suites and performance teaching. As these courses are frequenly oversubscribed we suggest enrolling as early as possible. For further details about the Summer Schools please click here.

The course will cover capturing footage, basic editing, adding transitions and effects, compositing, adding text and graphics, speed manipulation and audio editing, and will particularly emphasise the artistically valid editorial decisions of post production by using material generated by the students themselves. All courses are run using Apple Macintosh computers and are designed to meet the needs of beginners and more advanced users alike. A copy of ‘Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro HD’ by Diana Weyn will be given to all participants. There are 4 places available on each course.
